We live our lives with love, hate, mourning, happiness, and sadness. But we know how it ends—eventually, we all die. The question remains: When? Today, tomorrow, in 30 years?

In the back of my mind, the ultimate question lingers: What is the reason, the purpose of all this?
I love my wife, my children, my grandchildren. I cherish my friends. Yes, many of us enjoy life with all its ups and downs, striving to survive, to build a better future for our loved ones.
But even if we assume humanity achieves this goal (which I doubt), then what?
Why are we programmed this way? Why this instinct for survival? To what end? Why does life exist in all its forms? Maybe answering this question will help us understand the fundamental nature of reality.
The Cause of Religion
What is the purpose of religion? Does it exist because people need purpose in their lives? Does religion offer them the reason—to serve God?Reality
What is reality? I have more questions than answers. But isn’t asking the right questions the most important thing?
Donald Rumsfeld famously said in 2002: “There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don’t know we don’t know.”
Can we even ask: What is real? I reject the theory that we live in a computer simulation—it sidesteps the question of who is running the simulation. But even deeper: What is reality?
How did the governing laws of nature arise? These laws cannot exist without intent. But whose intent is it?
I don’t deny the possibility of higher intelligence, but I reject the idea of a “bearded old man” demanding obedience. That seems more like a myth than a reality.
Different Realities
Is my reality the same as my dog’s?
What about a bird? Does a bat live in the same reality as me?
Bacteria live in colonies, communicate, and behave in organized ways. All these creatures experience the world differently.
It’s possible that intelligent species in the universe have vastly different realities from ours.
Is there a deeper, more basic reality? Are all other realities mere illusions? Donald Hoffman and other scientists propose that evolution has shaped our perceptions for survival, not truth. This means most of reality might be hidden from us.
The Purpose of Life
We are here, alive, perceiving the world, our planet, and the cosmos. Bugs, birds, mammals, and dinosaurs—all life forms are programmed to survive, adapt, and multiply. Darwin uncovered the mechanism of evolution and the survival of the fittest. But the deeper question remains—what for?
Why do all living organisms strive to survive? What is the reason, the goal?
Who or what needs or wants life to survive?
Even the simplest components of organic life, like viruses, are programmed to multiply and survive. Do viruses have self-awareness, consciousness, or the will to procreate? Or do they have a group consciousness, like ants and bees?
Where did this “program” come from? Who designed the software?
The Nature of Reality
Hoffman and other cognitive scientists argue that our perceptions should be taken seriously, but not literally. What if the physical world is just an illusion?
Some scientists hypothesize that space and time are illusions, mere constructs of consciousness. Our perception of the universe in colors, shapes, and feelings could just be ways for life to survive.
But why? Why are we here?
Is there a God? If so, where did God come from?
A Universe as a Brain?
I once listened to a physicist who suggested that the most efficient creation by the universe would be a giant brain. What if that’s true? What if the universe is a brain?
But even if this were the case, the question remains: What would this brain be doing? Who or what designed and created it? What is its purpose?
Interstellar Travel and Consciousness
If space and time are illusions, what about interstellar travel? Maybe it won’t require spaceships like in Star Trek. Perhaps we’ll achieve interstellar travel through consciousness, utilizing quantum entanglement to “jump” between distant locations.
Self-Awareness and Existence
Regardless of what reality is, does self-awareness determine our existence? But where do we exist, if there’s no space or time? Is consciousness physical?
The Fundamental Laws
What bothers me most is that no theory has addressed the basic question: Where did the fundamental laws come from, and why?
Chi Energy and the Brain
How does the brain control Chi energy? What physical processes allow the brain to direct and feel this energy? The human brain is, at its core, energy. Consciousness affects reality, and reality, in turn, is shaped by consciousness. So Chi energy, life energy, is part of this global consciousness, and that’s why I think the brain and Chi are connected.
The Purpose of the Universe
If the purpose of the universe is to create life and consciousness, why is Earth the only habitable planet in the solar system?
Magic and the Universe
Is magic real? Is it possible?
Magic is defined as the “power of apparently influencing the course of events using mysterious or supernatural forces.” But why call it supernatural? I don’t think there is anything supernatural in our universe—just things we don’t yet understand.
If humans can manipulate Chi energy with their minds, why not something more? The universe is made of energy and probabilities. If we think of our brain as interacting energy fields, then with the proper understanding, everything is possible.
Free Will and Chaos
Do humans or any creatures have free will?
In a way, yes. Each person’s life is unpredictable, much like the chaotic movement of particles. But in the long run, there is a strange attractor—a state toward which a chaotic system trends.
Perhaps, despite the unpredictability of individuals, civilization or even the universe is moving toward a predetermined outcome.
My question is: What is the predetermined outcome? And what does this strange attractor look like?
Different Realities
Is my reality the same as my dog’s reality?
What about a bird’s?
Does a bat live in the same reality I do?
Bacteria behave in an organized manner. They live in colonies and communicate with each other. All these creatures see the world in drastically different ways .
It is possible that there are a multitude of intelligent species in the universe, some vastly superior to us. What is their reality?
Is there a basic, deep reality, and are all other “realities” mere illusions?
Many theories exist, including one proposed by Donald Hoffman and supported by other scientists. Hoffman argues that evolution has shaped our perceptions for survival, but it has hidden most of reality from us .
Maybe answering this question will help us understand the reason for our existence.
Challenging Perception
Buddhists teach that everything happens for a reason. But what is the reason? Why is everything here? And by the way, what is everything?
Donald Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally . The world we see may not be objective reality.
There is no “thing,” no matter. Only a play of probabilities, clouds of energy smeared on the path of possibilities.
What creates these outcomes, these possibilities?
Our observation, our consciousness.
Scientists are increasingly concluding that the physical world is an illusion, simply a survival mechanism for living creatures. Some hypothesize that space and time do not exist—that they are simply products of our conscious perception. Our sensory experience of the universe allows life to exist, but it may not reflect the true nature of reality.
Meaning of Life and God
People often ask: What is the meaning of life? Why is everything here? But no one has provided a definitive answer yet. Is there a God? And if there is, where did God come from?
I once listened to a physicist who speculated that the most efficient creation by the universe would be a giant brain.
What if our universe is a brain ?
But even then, we return to the same question: What would this brain be doing? Who or what designed it, and for what purpose?
To the Stars: Interstellar Travel
If space and time are just illusions, what about interstellar travel? Maybe it’s not spaceships like in Star Trek that will take us across galaxies, but quantum entanglement or consciousness-based travel—jumping between locations.
Consciousness and Existence
Regardless of the nature of reality, we have to accept that we exist because of our self-awareness. But if there is no space or time, where and how does anything exist?
Is consciousness physical?
What bothers me most is that none of the theories address the basic question: Where did the fundamental laws come from, and why?
In Conclusion
We don’t know what we don’t know. Every scientific advancement uncovers more questions. So, here’s to the mystery of life!
